Workpackage 3

Entrepreneurship and Training

Aim:

The entrepreneurial training is one of the core objectives of BaSIC. WP3 is aimed at identifying, selecting and training entrepreneurs for internationalisation and preparing investment in other markets. Starting with attendance and coaching SME in their local parks and/or clusters, fat grow SME will be identified and selected for training. It is one of the most important sources for getting the BaSIC clients, identifying fast-growth SME with internationalisation opportunities in the regions – mostly out of Science parks and Incubators, out of selected clusters (Optics/Microsystems; IT/Media; BioTech/Life Sciences). After training, the selected entrepreneurs will be
offered to use certified internationalisation tools (Market Access Points - MAP or docking stations) and will be brought in contact with finance aid (mainly via JOSEFIN).

WP3 develops training modules for SME intrnationalisation, jointly with input from regions about specific particularities; and regional specification, legislation, tax, market access regulations., funding, financing etc. WP3 qualifies and certifies  trainers.

WP3 is one of the core packages of BaSIC. It will be carried out under the leadership of Kista Science City in collaboration with Stockholm University Innovation. The Swedish partner, Kista Science City, and its sister company Stockholm Innovation & Growth have a longstanding and broad experience in entrepreneurial training of SME, which was already an important contribution during the BaltMet Inno project, but also in other transnational programs in which Kista Science City has participated over the years (e.g. Paxis, Arise, Ricarda).
