Road Show in St. Petersburg, 29th Sept – 1st Oct 2010

From 29th September to 1st October 2010 the second road show was held in St. Petersburg. This event was organized in the course of the 3rd International Innovation Forum of St. Petersburg and the exhibition Russian Entrepreneurs(http://enforum.spbinno.ru/).There were represented 4,000 participants, 600 companies and 11 countries. The Forum was a notable event, the main goal was the elaboration of key decisions, references and measures for the implementation of the plan of innovation economic development.

The goals of the road show were to present and to promote the BaSIC partner regions, their potentials and offers to foreign companies and the booth as a part of the exhibition. The partners from Helsinki, Riga, Stockholm, Vilnius, Warsaw, St. Petersburg and Berlin were involved in the workshop.

The program of the event provides the participants with the opportunity to interact within the field of business communication and to elaborate the "direct contacts". Farther a possibility is given to present the achievements in the innovations domain and demonstrate its practical implementation.

The road show had two parts - on the one hand side to present and to promote the BaSIC partner regions, their potentials and offers to foreign companies and on the other hand side the booth as a part of the exhibition.

The first part was accomplished the 29th September in the presentation area of the exhibition (open zone with uncontinuous audience). Altogether 40 people attended the workshop.

The second part of the event took place at the booth of BaSIC.

A lot of interesting contacts were followed at the booth of BaSIC. The president of the Commitee for Economic Development, Industrial Policy and Trade of St. Petersburg, Mr. Yelin and other representatives of the Government of St. Petersburg (Mrs. Timofeeva, Head of the strategic analysis and the forecast division and Mrs. Belokryltseva, Chief Expert of the department for infrastructure of small and medium enterprises of the Commitee for Economic Development, Industrial Policy and Trade of St. Petersburg, Mr. Petrov, Vice director of the Committee for Science and High Education of St. Petersburg, Mr. Sysoev from the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg) visited the booth. 

Furthermore the representatives of Technology Park INGRIA (www.ingria-startup.ru), St. Petersburg Business Incubator (www.start-business.ru), Naukograd (Science City) Peterhof (www.naukograd-peterhof.ru), Technopolis Finland and St. Petersburg (www.technopolis.fi) , Tampere Business Region (www.tamperebusinessregion.com) and a lot of companies were interested to hear about experiences for the management of Technology Parks, possibilities for cooperation, offers to foreign companies and working in networks.

The opening of the representation of Technopolis St. Petersburg was visited.
