WP will provide efficient tools to improve project quality. It will ensure wide visibility of project and results and on assistance obtained from Interreg and EU. A detailed Communication Plan will specify the activities. WP 2 will deliver and communicate specific detailed information on all publicity measures to be applied by the project
- briefly specify aim and purpose of the communication and information activities
- Identify and serve the target groups, stakeholders and general public; and communication channels
- Select tools for dissemination of project results to identified target groups . (website, logo, seminars, publications, press releases, newsletters, road shows)
- Regularly inform on achieved milestones and main outputs
WP 2 is the marketing tool of the project, branding participating partners, preparing harmonized marketing calendars of the regions to invite target group (focus: SME) to actively participate at selected and visible events in partner regions.
WP 2 will prepare marketing events and create "action schedules" for SME to open market opportunities in participating regions. WP2 will actively cooperate with the BaltMet Promo project (prepared by Helsinki); Main partners in WP2 are the city marketing departments
of the Baltic Metropolises.
WP2 leader is the City of Riga, strongly supported by the other partners. For internal communication will be responsible WISTA-MG as the project
leader. The competence of RIGA to lead WP2 was already shown during BaltMetInno, where Riga was responsible for dissemination & marketing,
incl. the BaltMetInno Web-Site. For Information and communication WP2 will follow the specification of the Communication Plan to be developed.
WP2 is a major project task, deciding on visibility, success and sustainability of the project. The main task will be to turn the project into a demanddriven
one, meeting the request of SME and being "the navigator" for finding and entering the Baltic Sea markets.
First activities of WP2 are:
- Developing and specifying a communication plan
- Creation of BaSIC website (Design, content implementation, maintenance, linking with other partners project websites)
- Installation intranet communication (project management tool – operated by WISTA)
- Logo development,
- Development Corporate design and Corporate identity
- Elaborating communication lines and channels
- 1st info flyer about project objectives and goals
- 1st Electronic Newsletter
- Start exchange with related projects (BaltMet Promo, JOSEFIN, InnoBalt)
- Analysis of most important regional events (long nights, CCI presentations, large expos) – relevant for BaSIC and cluster SME throughout the BSR and selection for promoting to BaSIC network and companies
- Preparation first project road show
- 1st marketing calendar with selected events proposed and agreed (for year 1 prepared and published
Project success of BaSIC will significantly depend on communication and marketing of the approach, in particular the promotion of the internatonaliszation instruments (WP6), the entrepreneurial training(WP3) and the cluster coopration (WP4). Next to mentioned comminication tools,
there will be establishe road shows in Riga, Oslo, Petersburg, and finally in Brussels (already pre-agreed for the Brussels open day 2011. External
experts will be involved from Riga - in particular for Corporate Design and final publication
